EA UFC 3 features tuner sets enabling developers to “hotfix” the game with updates that are smaller than patches. Unfortunately these tuner sets turned out to be defective and were found to crash the game. It is not known why EA failed to detect these crashes and flaws in testing, which Microsoft and Sony require prior to patch releases. Some are speculating that EA implemented “tuner sets” to bypass platform requirements. Many users have reported that EA UFC 3 is plagued with game-breaking bugs and glitches.
EA UFC 3 developer Geoff Harrower has admitted that EA knowingly released UFC 2 full of major flaws. The post came about after a user posted a negative review of newly-released EA UFC 3. Geoff was shocked by the negative review, expecting a much better reception than during the release of the previous game in the series, EA UFC 2. He also promised not to read any replies to his admission.
Geoff Harrower specifically admitted that “UFC 2 had stun lock parries on every strike, strikes that did almost no damage with no vulnerability system, and random health events.”
Long-time EA developer Geoff Harrower, better known as GameplayDevUFC and rEAnimator, dropped a bombshell on reddit, asking if a “game developer” should “quit his job because he works on a game that contains micro transactions.” He considered the idea as part of a series of “deeply personal questions” and a “burden” that “none of us can escape.” He likened it to “two people giving each other CTE.” The post was made in the hugely popular r/MMA subreddit. It is not clear if the “video game developer” in question refers to himself or a fictional entity.
Geoff Harrower, Lead Gameplay Engineer for EA SPORTS UFC 2, posted this message on Operation Sports after EA cancelled one of his earlier games. NBA Elite 11 was a basketball game for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 that was cancelled 8 days before release. Developers were under the pressure of an 18-month development cycle, similarly to EA UFC 1 & 2.
fishingtime, the moderator of the EA Sports UFC 2 Sub-Reddit and its corresponding blog, recently visited gdfishingtime and posted several hateful comments. Many of them contained threats and offensive language specifically aimed at the gay lesbian bisexual and transgendered community.
It all started when fishingtime revealed that he had created another effigy, this time of EA UFC 2 Assistant Producer Jazz Brousseau. fishingtime posted a video to YouTube entitled “EA SPORTS UFC2: Jazz, you are a beast!”
fishingtime ended up launching a tirade against this blog after being asked for more information about his CAF of Jazz Brousseau.
fishingtime posted multiple homophobic slurs, including calling Soupkin a “faggot” and threatening to sue his parents for being gay. He again calls him “faggot” and “mentally handicapped” all while using the name EA Sports UFC 2 Sub-Reddit.
The staff of this blog emphatically condemns the hateful and inappropriate statements made by Damon Gesell.
