Host of popular YouTube channel FishWatch, Earl Bivington, better known by most as belikepepsi, was detained by British authorities due to claims of bullying. The channel has since been shut down, but details are not known at this time.
FishWatch became popular after publishing videos uncovering information about fishingtime, who has previously made similar false claims of bullying across the globe. Things came to a head due to the recent information concerning fishingtime and Charlie Zelenoff. We at gdfishingtime apologize for broken links, as many videos were hosted by FishWatch. We will continue to investigate fishingtime and his nefarious deeds at home and abroad. We refuse to remove content no matter how many false claims are made against our affiliates.
Infamous internet troll Charlie Zelenoff is the latest to cross paths with fishingtime. The pair trained MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under famed black belt Jason Urbisci. Following a split between camps, Charlie threatened his former coach as well as Damon Gesell.
Fishingtime responded to the threats with a video of his own, telling the story of his beatdown of internet bully Charlie Zelenoff. Several witnesses and detractors began doubting the claims, but fishingtime provided more evidence that his Jiu-Jitsu training, shared by EA Sports developer Geoff Harrower, was able to overcome Charlie’s boxing skills. The fight was not without controversy, as Damon used PRIDE-style soccer kicks, illegal in state-sanctioned MMA. Much like Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather, this collision of internet celebrities would be talked about and debated for years to come.
After spending months in seclusion, fishingtime returned to the internet after EA UFC 3 was announced to shareholders. He immediately started arguing with several members of the forum, leading to a ban. This is the latest in a series of transgressions from the once respectable fishingtime.
We have just received word that fishingtime has given up and shut down his underground subreddit, r/EASPORTSUFC2. This came after months of controversy that split the community apart. Fishingtime ruled with an iron fist, banning many members and locking threads within hours of their publication.
Meanwhile, with fishingtime’s absence, r/EASportsUFC has become a thriving community, with many helpful threads discussing the game. Hopefully there is still time for the MMA community to heal from the damage caused by fishingtime.
Several posts on reddit have been highlighted recently. Just as predicted by fishingtime, a user has threatened suicide over EA UFC 2. Stress levels are at an all-time high after the latest patch, which has once again greatly affected gameplay.
Reddit user townnbibby claimed that the patch “fucked up the game” which upset several members of the fledgling EA UFC community. One user became so upset that he threatened to commit suicide after deleting his reddit account. His reddit account was deleted shortly thereafter.
Geoff Harrower, Lead Gameplay Engineer for EA SPORTS UFC 2, posted this message on Operation Sports after EA cancelled one of his earlier games. NBA Elite 11 was a basketball game for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 that was cancelled 8 days before release. Developers were under the pressure of an 18-month development cycle, similarly to EA UFC 1 & 2.
